Princeton University, June and October, 2016.
In the historic part of the Princeton campus gargoyles and grotesques can be found on many of the buildings.
They are a hoot. There are many more of these pictures, and I plan to do a gallery with more of the shoot.
The first part of the set has some of my favorites (which also happen to be among the more famous): the Monkey with a Camera (1904) at 1879 Hall; the Joy Ride (1913) at the Graduate College; the Football Runner (1913) at McCosh Hall; the Unseeing Reader (1879) at East Pyne; the Goblin With a Shell (1879) at Blair Arch; the Flute Player (1948) at the Firestone Library; and the Head of a Football Player (1922) at Henry Memorial Dormitory.
