About

Greetings, and welcome!

I am a photographer based in Denver, Colorado. I have been taking pictures off and on since high school, starting out way back then with my very first real camera, an early 1950s Leica IIIc, and a handheld Weston light meter, and spending many hours in the darkroom. I am originally from the San Francisco Bay Area.  In my prior professional life I was a corporate finance partner at two successive US international law firms.  I practiced in California and New York in the US and also in London as a solicitor admitted in England & Wales.

The blog documents my journeys on the Lincoln Highway (the first transcontinental highway in the United States), Route 66 and America’s other storied highways, back roads and byways.   We will also do some urban exploring and head out of the US with Cuba an international stop.

A little about my kit:  I have long since fully switched over to digital and currently shoot exclusively with Nikon and Fuji cameras. I still treasure my Nikons but find myself using the mirrorless Fujis more and more as time goes by. I use primarily Adobe Lightroom Classic software for post-processing.

Thanks for visiting.
