Princeton, October 2016.
The first five photos were taken just after sunrise on a cold late fall morning at Princeton Battlefield State Park. It’s hard to see in the photos but there was a frost on the fields. The light was special.
Here, on January 3, 1777, the Continental Army, commanded by General George Washington, won a pivotal victory over the British forces.
The museum in the Thomas Clarke House there was not open; another time.
After a short (and brisk) walk from the main battlefield site I reached the nearby Stony Brook Meeting House and Cemetery which are important Quaker historic sites (remaining five photos).
