Street photography in Philadelphia.
Although Philadelphia can be a little gritty I very much like the place. There is a ton to do and for me it is really a photographer’s paradise – especially the street photography (which I don’t do a lot of but if there is any place where I would want to do a bit of it, it is Philly).
The first two were taken at the Reading Terminal Market several years ago; the balance are all from various 2016 visits.
I had so many enjoyable encounters on my walks: the woman with her dog on a morning walk in South Philly; the guide at the Episcopal church in historic Society Hill; the attendant at the lot by the Italian Market; the hole-in-the wall cheese steak place where they kindly let me take a few shots from the walk-up window looking in (the image in this set from that place is another personal favorite); and many more.
