Reading Terminal Market – Part One

Some people pix at the Reading Terminal Market last weekend in Philly.

The first two were taken the first day when I visited in the late afternoon during the Santacon partying. I asked the Salvation Army bellringer if any of those sinners dressed up as Santa had given anything. He said as diplomatically as he could and with some weariness that it had not been that good a day. I stuffed some money in – the Salvation Army is a fine organization and really helps people – and wished him a merry Christmas. He gave me a big smile when I asked if I could take his picture.

As to the two guys at the butcher shop, I was walking by with my camera and the butcher on the right shouts out in a really thick Rocky-type accent (I mean, this was right out of a movie): “hey take a picture of me with my cousin”. Me without any pause: “mother’s or father’s side?” Butcher: “my father and his father are brothers”. One of those moments.
